Heart and Soul is an invitation to see the person behind the white coat.
An exhibition in which art appears not as a counterbalance, but as an inner necessity – as the pulse between knowledge and feeling.
The works of the members of the Austrian Medical Art Association are created where precision meets dedication, where diagnoses end and intuition begins.
Here the hand speaks what the heart already knows.
Here, what often remains hidden in everyday life becomes visible: vulnerability, wonder, compassion, longing.
Heart and soul opens a space where healing arts and art touch each other.
Colors become sensations, shapes become memories, lines become breaths.
The paintings, sculptures and forms of expression tell of closeness and distance, of life and transience – and of the quiet power that lies in creative activity.
This exhibition celebrates humanity as a whole.
She reminds us that all healing begins with listening –
and that art is a language that goes beyond words.
The Austrian Medical Art Association unites doctors for whom art is not a side path, but an expression of inner attitude.
Founded on the conviction that healing and creation draw from the same source, the association opens spaces for painting, sculpture, music and literature.
The members come from all medical specialties and from all over Austria.
Her works arise from precise perception, empathy, and working with all the senses. Here, art becomes a means of balance, of deepening one's understanding – and sometimes a quiet form of healing.
Regular exhibitions, including the annual autumn exhibition at the Vienna General Hospital (AKH), are key events in the association's activities. Exchanges with similar initiatives both in Austria and abroad demonstrate that the connection between medicine and art is universal.
The association stands for creativity, humanity, and the courage to think beyond boundaries.
