What remains after death?
What do those we loved leave behind when they are no longer here?

“Traces of Those Who Were” is an exhibition that, as part of the Día de los Muertos celebrations, invites us to reflect on the traces we want to leave behind of our lives.

A philosophical question runs through this exhibition: In what ways will our way of being and living preserve us in memory—or perhaps consign us to oblivion—in the hearts and memories of the people with whom we have shared our lives?
And why not also in the thoughts of those whom we never knew personally, but for whom our path nevertheless left a trace in some way?

The visual artist, curator and cultural manager Miguel Valverde presents a collection of works by the following artists:

Nancy Andujo · Melany Estrada · Fernando De La Rosa · Graciela Domínguez · Ana Sofía Flores · Sandra Guevara · Elena Tomao · Irma Guadarrama · Sarah Jiménez · Fernando López · Jesús Maradona · Ishtar Orozco · Pamela Ramos · Héctor Rodríguez IV · Ray Sías
